How we train our bees!
or How we get Different Flavours
1. Location
The first method used is geographic location. i.e. pick an area to place beehives with only one type of plant flowering.
2. Flowering Period
Honey flows can be separated by the time of flowering of the target plant.
This is done by:
- Removing all the honey from the hives just before the target plant starts flowering,
- Harvesting the fresh honey from the hives as soon as the flowering finishes
3. Laboratory Testing
Airborne honey is different because we use our laboratory to identify each honey type. This is the only way of knowing exactly what each honey is. The most important tests for honey identification are colour and pollen count. So we print the pollen count on the back of the jar so you can be sure of the quality every time you purchase.
